STATE SHIPPING RESTRICTIONS
Each state’s direct shipping law is unique in the amount of alcohol legally allowed to be delivered to its residents. As a result, Double Canyon is not able to ship wine to every state, even in limited amounts.
AK: Some zip codes not allowed
AZ: 6 cases per person, per year
FL: Unlimited; some dry counties apply
GA: 5 cases per household, per year onsite and 12 cases per household, per year offsite
HI: 6 cases per year, per address combined on and offsite
ID: 24 cases per year, per individual
IL: 12 cases per year, per consumer
KS: Consumer must pay gallon tax for onsite and there is a limited of 12 cases, per person, per address, per year for offsite delivery.
ME: 12 cases, per resident, per calendar year for both on and offsite; no less than 750ml containers
MD: 18, 9L cases per year, per address
MA: 3-Tier - may take 3-4 weeks for delivery
MI: 1,500 cases per year, per winery
MN: 2 cases, per year, per consumer (no permit needed)
MO: 2 cases per month, per consumer
MT: 18 cases per person, per year; not over 16% alcohol
NE: 1 cases per month, per individual
NV: 12 cases per year, per individual
NJ: 3-Tier - may take 3-4 weeks for delivery; limit of 5 bottles per visit for onsite purchases
NM: 2 cases per month, per individual - combined on and offsite
NY: 36 cases per year, per consumer
NC: 2 cases per month, per individual
ND: 3 cases per month, per consumer
OH: 24 cases per year, per household
OR: 2 cases per month, per individual
PA: 36 cases per individual per calendar year
SC: 2 cases per month per person; not over 16% alcohol
TX: 9 gallons per calendar month; 36 gallons per year
VT: 12 cases per year, per consumer; not over 16% alcohol
VA: 2 cases per month, per individual
DC: 3-Tier for unlimited - may take 3-4 weeks for delivery; direct shipments are limited to 1 case per month
WI: 12 cases per year, per consumer (combined on and offsite)
WY: 2 cases per year, per household
In order to guarantee proper temperature control of the wine during shipping, we ship as many orders as possible on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. This shipping policy ensures the wine is delivered by Friday and is not stored in a non-temperature controlled warehouse over a weekend period. Please note that we will only ship when weather permits. Your shipment may be placed on a “weather hold” until temperatures improve to protect your shipment. Alcoholic beverages may be sold and delivered only to persons who are at least 21 years old. And in placing an order, the buyer represents to Double Canyon that the buyer is at least 21 years old and the person to whom delivery will be made is at least 21 years old.
By law, a signature of someone over the age of 21 is required for delivery of wine. No wines will be left on porches and/or doorsteps. Therefore, we recommend that a daytime/business address is provided for shipping of wines. This also insures the wine is not left in a non-temperature-controlled environment until you return home. We cannot guarantee the condition of your wine if we are not able to deliver on the first delivery attempt. Should an order require return, redirect or reshipment, the buyer may be responsible for a$15 return fee and applicable redirect or shipping charges (see below for our shipping charges). Double Canyon policy dictates that we are not able to accept returns or give refunds on all merchandise and services provided. Double Canyon makes no representation to the legal rights of anyone to ship or import wine into any state outside of California.
