Several different lots were selected for our 2017 Double Canyon Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon, dominated by fruit from Quintessence Vineyard’s Block 51. This block of fruit consistently demonstrates power and opulence, and the 2017 vintage was no exception. Fruit from this part of Red Mountain tends to ripen faster as compared to other Washington growing regions, allowing it to progress to its full potential without impact from colder fall weather. This wine is a beautiful example of quality Red Mountain fruit managed through the winemaking process to preserve its distinctive character without developing an overwhelming structure.
Characteristic of the appellation and the 2017 vintage, this Cabernet Sauvignon offers aromas of rich blackberry, pie crust and baking vanilla. The wine enters the palate with a silky raspberry profile accented by light notes of confectioners’ sugar. Hints of peach and raspberry take you into the finish, lingering with the juicy acidity that is characteristic of Horse Heaven Hills.
Showing a deep ruby color in the glass, our 2015 Double Canyon Vineyard Syrah
expresses aromas of rich caramel, cedar and hints of rose petal. The entry possesses
good structure with generous amounts of black and red fruits, accented by vanilla
crème, root beer, black tea and spice, leading into a long, juicy finish with lingering
notes of mouthwatering red plum.

Our 2014 Double Canyon Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon reflects the warm vintage and restricted crop with rich, ripe flavors, heightened concentration and excellent density. Deep ruby in the glass, the wine opens with black cherry and lifted sweet caramel on the nose. The palate is plush, with elegant integrated tannins and balanced acidity.
